Greetings from a windswept Crooked End Farm
Keeping things very brief this week as I am struggling to catch up with
everything after the extra long bank holiday and the harsh reality of
Annette not being here to help!
Attached is this week’s produce list. We are still waiting for new season
calabrese, but are pleased to see summer savoy cabbage and Crooked End’s own
freshly picked mange tout for those of you craving craving greens this week!
If you don’t fancy cooking yourself though, our wonderchef has been cooking
up fresh beef and vegetable curries today, tomato soup, and her lovely red
cabbage coleslaw and carrot salads. We are also happy to cater to special
requests – for example, for an elderly customer we have made batches of
macaroni cheese, and salmon fillets with vegetables that can be frozen down
and reheated.
The extreme weather has meant the cancellation of this weekend’s Garden
Festival at Hellen’s Manor, but rest assured that Supper Club will be here
rain or shine on 16th June!
Hold onto your hats!
